50 Fund Legacy Grantee

Family 1st Family Foundation received a $10,000 Playmaker grant from the 50 fund (the legacy fund of the San Francisco Bay Area Super Bowl 50 Host Committee) to support their youth development and educational programs servicing Oakland and the Bay Area.

The Playmaker grant supports community-based organizations with a passionate and specific, compelling need for funds to provide immediate community impact. Its goal is to help close the opportunity gap that exists for Bay Area children, youth and young adults living in low-income communities.

With the support of the 50 Fund, Fam 1st Foundation will continue to provide community-based programs that use athletics and education to empower youth. Fam 1st was founded by NFL running back Marshawn Lynch and his cousin, NFL quarterback Josh Johnson, in 2011, and is based in Oakland, California.
