Fam 1st Family Charity Event
Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch hosted a sports-star-studded event at The Edgewater Hotel on December 14 for his Fam 1st Family Foundation. Team owner Pul Allen was in attendance, along with head coach Pete Carroll, football legend Joe Montana and former Sonics player Shawn Kemp. ESPN anchor Kenny Mayne acted as host, raising more than $325,000 for the organization, which uses athletics and education to empower at-risk youth across the nation. Fam 1st was founded by Lynch and his cousin, NFL quarterback Joshua Johnson, in 2011, and is based in Oakland, California.

On Thursday Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch and San Francisco 49ers quarterback Josh Johnson gave a $500 scholarship to Oakland gunshot victim Gerald Williams, a former Castlemont High School student who will be studying business management at San Diego State University this fall.
